Q.
Is removal permanent?
A. Yes and No, It is against federal law for a creditor or credit
bureau to put an item back on your credit report after it
is removed without providing you proper notice. That
being said most items are removed permanently, however we do not
make the debt go away. This means that the
creditor who owns the debt has the ability to still collect on that
debt. They can do so by continuing to try to collect on their own or
selling the debt to some other collection agency. This other
collection agency can add the item to your credit report. Since this
is the case we cannot tell what accounts may have been sold
recently, are about to be sold, or won't be sold for 2 years. This
means that negative items can come back, it could take 4 months or 4
years.
Q. Do I
have to pay the items removed off?
A. As explained above, just because an item is removed from your
credit report does not mean that the debt itself is not valid. The
choice to pay the debt is yours and yours alone. We do advise our
clients to consider paying the debt if they can as this is the only
way to be sure that an item won't be sold and placed back on your
credit report in the future.
Q.
Do you remove public records, judgments, student loans, repos,
foreclosures, and inquiries?
A. We can remove any type of negative item from your credit report
Q. Is this legal?
A. The Fair Credit Reporting Act states that clients have the right
to dispute items on their credit reports. If an item is not true,
accurate, and verifiable it cannot be reported. This means that even
if you KNOW an item is yours the burden of proof is on the creditor
and if they don't prove you owe the debt they must remove it.
Q.
Will this
allow me to obtain a 720 credit score?
A. Your credit score is determined by a combination of good and bad
credit, removing every bad item on your credit report will not
always get you to a 720 credit score. To obtain a 720 credit score
you most likely will need to add some positive credit. positive
credit can be added once your project is complete by applying for
credit through national companies or we can add tradelines
ourselves.
Q.
What happens if items are added after the process is started?
A. If you purchased a bundle we may add the item to your project at
no additional charge. The added item will not be guaranteed and your
project will be delayed based on when the item was added, if an item
is added 10 days after you start then your project will be delayed
10 days.
Q.
What are
some items that can delay the process?
A. Some
circumstances will cause a delay with our credit sweep program.
Public records that have a corresponding negative item, negative
items must be removed first. Items added after your project has
started will add time to the overall process. If your equifax credit
report is in a CSC Credit Services area it will take longer to
finish your project.
